Fort Worth Opera stages Ginsberg-based 'Hydrogen Jukebox' as part of festival

Minimalist composer Philip Glass and beat poet Allen Ginsberg are not the first people who come to mind when you think "opera," but that's exactly what makes the rarely performed Hydrogen Jukebox -- with music by Glass and based on Ginsberg's work -- so intriguing. Fort Worth Opera tackles the piece, which deals with such topics as the anti-war movement and the sexual revolution, as part of its opera festival. It's opening Tuesday and will be performed in an intimate setting, the 99-seat Sanders Theatre
