FWOpera, Food Bank team for kids’ programs
Fort Worth Opera, intent upon developing a new-generation audience beyond a loyal and adventurous patronage of the here-and-now, has launched into an extraordinary Children’s Opera Theatre project for mid-March’s spring-break stretch.
The presentations blend operatic passion with favorite Old World nursery tales: The Three Little Pigs and The Billy Goats Gruff. The productions also represent a teaming with the Tarrant Area Food in a charitable marketing program called “Feed the Wolf, Save the Pigs.” The formula: A customer who attends The Three Little Pigs (showing at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. March 15 at Scott Theatre) and donates donate one nonperishable food item will receive one free ticket to a performance of The Billy Goats Gruff (March 19, same times, same venue).
