| Fort Worth Opera Chorus Fort Worth Opera holds auditions as needed for members of the Opera Chorus, with auditions generally held each fall – auditions for the 2010 Festival Chorus have already been completed. Audition requirements may vary, depending on the needs of each season's productions. For information about upcoming auditions, or to be added to our chorus audition mailing list, please contact Hannah Smith at 817.731.0833 ext. 21 or hannah@fwopera.org. Fort Worth Opera Studio Fort Worth Opera holds auditions each fall to choose artists for the Fort Worth Opera Studio. (For more information on the studio, please see the Fort Worth Opera Studio page.) Auditions are generally held in New York City and Fort Worth. Candidates for the Fort Worth Opera Studio should have completed master's level training, and have participated in at least one additional training program, such as a summer young artist program. Artists with similar experience will also be considered. Updated audition information is published each spring, with dates, locations and audition requirements posted here and with YAP Tracker. All audition request must come through the YAP Tracker online application form, which will be posted when information is available. For more information regarding the Studio or auditions, please contact Keith Wolfe at 817.731.0833 ext. 12 or kwolfe@fwopera.org. Principal Artist Auditions Fort Worth Opera holds principal auditions each fall for both managed and non-managed artists. For managed artists, an audition notice is sent out to artist managers and agents during the late summer or early fall. This notice includes audition dates and locations, as well as potential repertoire or roles open for casting. We prefer that managed artists submit their audition request through their manager or agent rather than contacting us directly. Non-managed artists who are seeking a principal audition with Fort Worth Opera must have completed their educational training and shown progression beyond university performances by having participated in young artist programs or other mainstage productions. Non-managed artists are generally cast in secondary roles or in covers for Fort Worth Opera productions. Non-managed audition information is updated here each spring, and published through YAP Tracker. All non-managed principal audition requests must come through the YAP Tracker online application form, which will be posted when information is available. For more information regarding principal auditions, please contact Keith A. Wolfe at 817.731.0833 ext. 12 or kwolfe@fwopera.org. In general, we do not hold house auditions in Fort Worth outside of previously scheduled audition times. McCammon Competition The Opera Guild of Fort Worth holds the Marquerite McCammon Competition every two years, with the 14th Biennial Competition scheduled for May 13-15, 2010.
