American Opera Survey Results.
Thursday, July 8, 2010 By Martha Martinez-Sotelo

In the last e-Newsletter we asked you the question, "If you had to make the artistic decision, which new American opera would you like to see in Fort Worth?" We presented you with the following three choices:

The Golden Ticket (premiered in St. Louis in June 2010)
Amelia (premiered in Seattle in May 2010)
Madame White Snake (premiered in Boston in Feb. 2010)

It was a close race between all three, but with the 36% of the vote, most of you would like to see Amelia in Fort Worth.

@Mark: This is was just a fun survey to see what our FWOpera fans would choose. It takes a little more research and other factors in selecting an opera for the Festival.

I hope this means they will perform it.
