5 Operas That Are Truly Bloodier Than 'True Blood'
Thursday, September 16, 2010 By Martha Martinez-Sotelo

There are a lot of T.V. shows that I pay attention to.  If you read my previous post, America's Got Talent is one of them.  But I really enjoy Mad Men, 30 Rock, Modern Family and Project Runway.  But there are some that I feel crazy when I admit to liking them.  They are Dexter and True Blood.  I've never been a fan of so much blood, but I try to focus on the story line than all the gory stuff.  True Blood just wrapped up it's third season on Sunday, and NPR just posted this fun article on the "5 Operas That Are Truly Bloodier Than True Blood."

I thought the madness scene in Lucia di Lammermoor was bloody enough to make the list, but it's not on their list.

Read 5 Operas That Are Truly Bloodier Than True Blood to see what NPR suggests will give you your fix before the next season of True Blood. Is there an opera you think should have made the list? We'd love to hear your thoughts.
