Dallas Opera opts for old classics for 2010-11 season
“But at the Fort Worth Opera, four of the 10 operas presented between 2008 and this coming May will have been from the 20th century, and the upcoming festival includes the world premiere of Jorge Martín's Before Night Falls. In 2008, Fort Worth even presented Hungarian composer Peter Eötvös' avant-garde Angels in America, a work unimaginable from the stuffy old Dallas Opera.”
