Fort Worth Opera wants to get drunk with you at Opera Shots

  FORT WORTH — Ever thought of going to the opera, but then realized you’d never be let in because you don’t own anything nice enough to wear? The Fort Worth Opera has your informal invitation into the scene on Thursday, November 1, when the organization hosts Opera Shots, an evening full of music void of dress code.

The event is reminiscent of the Dallas Opera's free showing of an opera at Cowboys Stadium in April 2012. The Fort Worth Opera has hosted Opera Shots before.

Several up-and-coming singers from the Fort Worth Opera Studio and 2013 Festival Chorus will perform a comedic piece called Figaro’s Last Hangover at the Live Oak Music Hall & Lounge from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The piece, composed by industry veteran Patrick Soluri, is one in a series of hilarious productions sure to appeal to anybody with a sense of humor. Soluri is both an Opera America recognized composer and a part of the Fort Worth Opera’s 2013 Frontiers New Works Showcase.
