Student Rush Discount

Students must have a current, valid ID, to purchase their tickets in person and pay at the time of purchase.

Prior to the Performance Date:

Students may purchase up to two (2) tickets at 50% off the adult single ticket price. Patrons may choose where they wish to sit.

On the Day of the Performance:

Students may purchase up to two (2) tickets at $5 each. Tickets may only be purchased for a performance happening that same day. Patrons will receive the best seats available at the time of the purchase.

Turandot Video Contest

Fort Worth Opera has a challenge for all of you video makers, directors, and YouTube watchers!

Make a video tribute to Turandot, and win! First, Second, and Third place winners will receive awesome prize packages including a Laptop Computer, DVD cam, T-Shirts, CD’s, FWO Merchandise and more!

So how does it work?

1. Download “Nessun Dorma” from the East Village Opera Company’s self titled album on Itunes or from their webpage.
2. Make a video using that song that has something to do with the opera Turandot.
3. Print an entry form and fill it out completely; mail or fax it to us.
4. Send entry form to us either by fax or snail mail to:

Send us a copy of your video on disc or Post your video on YouTube® You still must send in the entry form, signed and with the link clearly written.

THE DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES IS MARCH 12TH!!

It’s that easy! Depending on how many entries are received, winners will be announced a few weeks before our festival begins.

Student Night at the Opera

Suggested for students and teachers from middle schools, high schools, colleges and universities, Student Night at the Opera can be arranged individually or through a school or home-school group. Student Night occurs at Bass Hall, final (and fully-staged) dress rehearsals for each of our main-stage performances. Passes are available for up to 1,200 students and teachers and are only $5.00 each and includes an informative guide to the opera. Reservations are required.

Opera on Campus

If your students are too old for Children’s Opera Theatre, but you’d like to have opera at your school, consider bringing our artists to you. Performances and residencies by the FWOpera Studio artists can be arranged for your arts students or entire student bodies. Typical performances include songs and ensembles from well-known operas, pieces from our current season, as well as musical theater numbers. These performances can be tailored to your school’s needs and wants and can range from 30 minutes to 1 1/2 hours in length. Options are also available for our young artists to speak to emerging middle and high school artists and arts classes.
