JENNIFER ROWLEY

VIRTUAL ARTIST RESIDENCY

June 6 - August 1, 2020

Praised by The New York Times for her "radiant tone," and called "spectacular” by The Wall Street Journal, Metropolitan Opera star Jennifer Rowley is one of the most sought-after sopranos of our time. Fort Worth Opera is thrilled to collaborate with this internationally acclaimed artist for a virtual artist residency. Throughout this exciting eight-week collaboration, Ms. Rowley will hold weekly themed Zoom masterclasses, fascinating lectures, and casual Instagram Live chats with other singers, directors, coaches, and opera industry professionals.

ZOOM MASTERCLASSES

Beginning SATURDAY, May 6 and continuing for 8 weeks through August 1, Jennifer Rowley will be giving free Zoom masterclasses focussing on vocal technique, repertoire, language skills, acting, and building a character. Sessions will occasionally feature guest artists, and opera lovers will have an opportunity to audit and observe Ms. Rowley and the singers at work.

Each MONDAY Fort Worth Opera will announce the theme of the class for the week, the time it will be held on Saturday, the names of special guests (if applicable), and a call for singers on FWO's social media platforms and through our mailing list. The first 90 people who click a button below and email us requesting to audit the class, will secure a spot and be emailed the Zoom link to observe.

Every FRIDAY, FWO will announce the 5 singers chosen each week for the Saturday masterclasses on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
