CHORUS AUDITIONS
Auditions have closed for the 2020 Festival.
Fort Worth Opera is pleased to announce auditions for the chorus of La Bohème, Die Fledermaus and Zorro performed in Fort Worth during our 2020 Opera Festival April 17 through May 3, 2020. Choristers from previous Fort Worth Opera productions are required to audition again. Vocalists who read music and/or learn music independently and quickly are encouraged to audition. Singers should be able to move on stage. Fort Worth Opera is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive and safe environment for all employees.
Singers should come prepared with two contrasting classical or musical theatre songs (including 32 bar cuts) in different languages, showing off range and quality. Please bring sheet music in the correct key; an accompanist will be provided. No a cappella auditions. Please bring headshot and resume.
Fort Worth Opera encourages children under 5’5” to audition for the La Bohème Children's Chorus. Young singers must be able to watch the Director, follow instructions, and be able to perform choreography independently. Please prepare one selection in English showing range and quality of voice. Bring sheet music in the correct key; an accompanist will be provided. No a cappella auditions.
