What should I wear to a Fort Worth Opera production?

While there's no strict dress code, most patrons opt for business casual or cocktail attire. However, feel free to dress comfortably.

How early should I arrive before the performance?

It's advisable to arrive at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time. This allows ample time for parking, picking up tickets, and finding your seat without feeling rushed.

Is there an intermission during the performance?

Most opera productions have one or more intermissions, providing an opportunity to stretch your legs and enjoy refreshments. Check the program or ask an usher for specific details.

Are there translations or subtitles available during the performance?

Many productions offer subtitles projected above the stage, providing translations of the lyrics being sung. This enhances the audience's understanding and enjoyment of the performance.

Is photography or recording allowed during the performance?

No, to respect the performers and other audience members, photography and recording are prohibited during the performance.

What if I arrive late to the performance?

Latecomers may need to wait until an appropriate break in the performance to be seated. Ushers will assist you in finding your seat discreetly to minimize disruptions to other patrons.

Can I leave and re-enter the theater during the performance?

If you must leave, inform an usher, and they will assist you in re-entering discreetly.  At some performance you will not be permitted to renter the theater until a pause, intermission or the end of the performance.
