EDUCATION

Offering a variety of educational programs, we strive to enrich the minds and broaden the horizons of students from Pre-K all the way through the 12th grade.

Studies show that a positive experience with arts education not only encourages a lifelong relationship with the arts, but often opens windows of curiosity that lead to a new enthusiasm and discipline for learning in general. Fort Worth Opera and Children’s Opera Theatre are dedicated to expanding the horizons of young people across the state of Texas, with concentrated efforts across the North Texas area. Since 1966, Fort Worth Opera has opened millions of young minds to the colorful and exciting world of opera.

Children's Opera Theatre

For elementary schools, our Studio Artists perform Children’s Opera Theatre—45-minute operas based on well-known children’s tales. Each show is performed in full costume and on a traveling storybook set.

Student Night at the Opera

Fort Worth Opera offers special student group pricing for regular performances, but if you need a mid-week performance or would bring your students to dress rehearsal, we also have Student Night at the Opera.

Lesley Artists

A discovery and training program for emerging young opera singers, the Hattie Mae Lesley Artists program offers professional experience to four exceptional performers
every year.
