Fort Worth Opera is proud to support nonprofit organizations throughout North Texas by providing ticket donations for charitable fundraising activities. Through this program, eligible organizations may request tickets to select Fort Worth Opera performances for use in silent auctions, live auctions, raffles, or other approved fundraising activities.

Ticket donations are subject to availability and are provided at the sole discretion of Fort Worth Opera. The performance, number of tickets, seating location, and value of each donation will be determined by Fort Worth Opera.

Eligibility 

​

Fort Worth Opera accepts ticket donation requests from qualified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations. Priority may be given to: 

• Arts and cultural organizations; 

• Educational and community organizations serving North Texas; 

• Organizations whose missions or programs align with Fort Worth Opera's commitment to arts, education, and community engagement; and 

• Organizations with an established relationship with Fort Worth Opera. 

 

Ticket donations must be used to raise funds in support of the requesting organization's charitable mission. 

 

Fort Worth Opera does not provide ticket donations: 

• For the benefit of an individual or individual family; 

• For political organizations, candidates, or campaigns; 

• For employee-only or member-only events; 

• As gifts, awards, or tokens of recognition; or 

• For events or activities that do not directly support charitable fundraising. 

 

Request Guidelines

Organizations requesting a ticket donation must: 

1. Submit a complete ticket donation request at least 60 days prior to the fundraising event. 

2. Provide the organization's name, nonprofit status, contact information, event date, event description, and intended use of the donated tickets. 

3. Provide proof of current 501(c)(3) nonprofit status upon request. 

4. Limit requests to one ticket donation per Fort Worth Opera season. 

5. Submit a new request each season. Previous support does not guarantee future ticket donations. 

 

Requests are reviewed based on eligibility, ticket availability, the nature of the fundraising activity, and Fort Worth Opera's charitable priorities. Submission of a request does not guarantee a donation. 

 

Fort Worth Opera will notify organizations by email whether a request has been approved or declined. 

 

Ticket Donations

Approved organizations will receive information regarding the performance, number of tickets, and any applicable redemption instructions. 

 

Tickets donated by Fort Worth Opera: 

• May only be used for the fundraising purpose approved in the request; 

• Have no cash value and may not be exchanged for cash; 

• May not be resold outside the approved fundraising activity; 

• May not be exchanged for another performance or date unless expressly authorized by Fort Worth Opera; and 

• Are subject to availability and any additional restrictions provided at the time of donation. 

 

Fort Worth Opera reserves the right to exclude certain performances, dates, seating sections, or special events from the ticket donation program. 

 

Acknowledgment

Organizations receiving a ticket donation are asked to acknowledge Fort Worth Opera's support in connection with the fundraising event. 

​

When appropriate, Fort Worth Opera may provide approved organizational logos, production artwork, or descriptive language for use in event materials. Any Fort Worth Opera name, logo, production image, or other promotional asset must be used in accordance with the materials and guidelines provided. 

 

How to Submit a Request

Ticket donation requests must be submitted through Fort Worth Opera's designated ticket donation request process.

Please allow adequate time for your request to be reviewed. Organizations will be notified by email whether their request has been approved or declined.

Fort Worth Opera reserves the right to modify its Ticket Donation Program guidelines at any time and to approve or decline requests at its sole discretion.
